Grasim Industries Ltd. Units - Harihar Polyfibers and Grasiline Division

Near Harihar in Haveri District of Karnataka, SMC constructed a 200 TPD Rayon Grade Pulp Manufacturing Plant, the first indigenous pulp manufacturing plant in India and a 110 TPD Grasiline Plant. Unique to the project is a tapering chimney standing 78m high, constructed by MCC adopting modern methods. The project included construction of a 500 family housing colony catering to every convenience of a modern day township, a shopping complex, hospital, guesthouse, school, post-office, cinema theatre and clubhouse.
